NPWA Thanks NBWA Stream Cleanup VolunteersSeptember 22, 2014
For Immediate Release
Monday, September 22, 2014
North Penn Water Authority and North Branch Watershed Association wishes to thank those volunteers who came out on Saturday, September 20, 2014, to help make a difference in their community by participating in the stream cleanup hosted by the North Branch Watershed Association (NBWA) through a partnership with Keep Bucks County Beautiful and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful. This event was part of the annual International Coastal Cleanup where volunteers joined together to help keep streams and waterways clean.
The North Branch Watershed Association is also grateful to Giant Food for donating a gift card which was used to purchase snacks and beverages for the hard-working volunteers. In addition, a special thanks to Chalfont Borough for their assistance promoting the event and for disposing of the collected trash and debris.
The North Branch Watershed Association is working to improve, protect and preserve the North Branch Neshaminy Creek, its stream corridors and tributaries, through environmental education, conservation efforts, and promotion of sound land use practices, for the benefit of the community and the health of the watershed ecosystem.
For membership information, please contact Meghan Rogalus, Watershed Specialist for the Bucks County Conservation District, at 215-345-7577 ext. 107.
