STUDENTS EARN YOUR COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS
The North Penn Water Authority (NPWA) and North Branch Watershed Association (NBWA) invites you to join them on Saturday September 20 from 1:00-3:00 PM, at the Twin Streams Park, in Chalfont for the NBWA's Annual Stream Cleanup. Through a partnership with Keep Bucks County Beautiful and Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful this event is part of the annual International Coastal Cleanup.
Bring your friends and family, and join them for a fun afternoon removing trash from the creek! Student volunteers who pre-register will receive a Community Service Hours Certificate for the event. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please wear boots or old shoes, and come ready to get wet and have some fun. Light refreshments, gloves and trash bags will be provided.
The North Branch Watershed Association is working to improve, protect and preserve the North Branch Neshaminy Creek, its stream corridors and tributaries, through environmental education, conservation efforts, and promotion of sound land use practices, for the benefit of the community and the health of the watershed ecosystem.
To pre-register or for more information about the stream clean up, meeting dates, or for NBWA membership information, please contact Meghan Rogalus, Watershed Specialist for the Bucks County Conservation District, at 215-345-7577 ext. 107 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
