Refill From The Tap

Do you know that there is the same amount of water on earth today as there was when the earth was formed? Unfortunately, we continue to pollute it faster than the natural process can cleanse it. There are many reasons for pollution, but small, simple steps can really make a big impact. That’s why we want YOU to Refill from the Tap with NPWA water.

When the Authority began in 1965, people drinking bottled water in the U.S. was rare. When the first major launch to market and sell bottled water occurred in 1976, the per capita consumption of bottled water in this country was just 1.6 gallons.

Today, bottled water is the second most popular commercial beverage in the United States with the consumption reaching 32 gallons of bottled water per capita per year.

While over 750 million people in the world still lack safe tap water, this is definitely not the case for North Penn Water Authority customers. How can you be sure? NPWA is committed to providing customers with a safe, reliable, and economical water supply, and issues a Water Quality Report each year indicating the quality and safety of the water. To view the last several years of Water Quality Reports, click here.

What makes NPWA water so safe? NPWA has an advanced treatment plant that produces high quality, safe drinking water which accounts for approximately 85% of the water supplied to customers.
